Twitter’s video sharing app, Vine has rolled out its biggest update till date i.e. Vine messages. Users will now be able to send private messages directly to other users via video or test with the help of Vine messages, which is brought by this update. Vine messages for Android is available at Google’s Play Store and that for iOS is available at the App Store from where users can download them.
Vine messages is just under the home icon. From there, users can select it and go to their Vine Message Inbox that shows messages from friends in a list by default. Every friend in your inbox is color-coded according to the profile color they have chosen. Those using Vine messages can also receive video and text messages from people who are not their friends. However, before sending a video or text message to contacts you are asked to enter your mobile phone number to verify your account.
The feature keeps a record of the correspondence time and number of messages appears of each avatar. You will hear a sound like a little raindrop each time you send or receive a message. Besides, users will also be able to get notifications whenever a new message arrives on their home screen.[useful_banner_manager banners=25 count=1]
Swiping the home screen to left is another way you can access the inbox. You can also add a caption to the message and can also record 6 seconds per message in video or text. You can access “Quick Reply” by just tapping on the video record icon.
Vine completed its one year in January and it celebrated the birthday with a video named ‘Year on Vine’, which was a compilation of the most memorable videos posted on the service last year. The 18 minute video featured over 200 videos from clips from musicians (Justin Bieber), actors and President Barack Obama.
