facebook-rolls-out-new-publishing-tools-to-target-posts-and-promote-content-more-efficiently

In order to make it easy for those who want to promote posts on Facebook mainly advertisers, the social networking site has rolled out new tools that will allow them to target posts and promote content more effectively.

One of which is the interest targeting tool that will create areas like locations, celebrities and sports teams to add to posts by making use of Facebook’s data mine. Not just that one of the tools will also allow social media managers to put end dates for when posts should stop receiving promotion in News Feeds.

This is how Facebook will not only help advertisers to target people more effectively but also encourage news publishers to post more timely stories. However, once the end date will cross, although the promoted posts will remain on Facebook but will not be promoted.

Now, the third tool launched by Facebook called ‘smart publishing’, that will help track stories users are posting to Facebook, and will add them to the news feeds of people who like the company, will be available only to a limited group initially.

The social networking giant has taken this initiative by building such tools in collaboration with media partners after they so many requests for improvements to the publishing platform flocked their desk. The company actually wants to use the traffic coming to its website and make it pay, the way more and more users are accessing the website, especially on mobiles.
