You can now live stream to YouTube if you have minimum of 1,000 subscribers.

When YouTube live streaming was initially presented back in February, channels needed to have at least 10,000 subscribers so as to start a live stream. Now, it has dropped the necessity to 1,000 subscribers instead of 10,000. It’s still not open to everybody, but rather that is an extensively littler obstacle.

YouTube’s help page confirms anyone using the Android, iPhone, or iPad app, with no less than 1,000 subscribers can live stream from their mobile device. The change quietly happened at some point in the previous few days, but got recently spotted.

Starting a live stream on YouTube’s mobile app is a practically simple process:
  • Select the camera button.
  • Grant consent for the YouTube app to access the Camera, Mic, and Storage.
  • If prompted verify your channel.
  • Select GO LIVE.
