1) Ninjacart founded by Sharath Loganathan, Thirukumaran Nagarajan, Kartheeswaran K K, Ashutosh Vikram, Sachin Jose and Vasudevan Chinnathambi: This Bangalore based business-to-business marketplace that connects farmers and brands to retailers, has raised $3 million from venture firm Accel Partners and Qualcomm Ventures, M&S Partners (Singapore) and Zop Smart to expand its team and invest in technology.

2) Wooplr founded by Arjun Zacharia, Praveen Rajaretnam, Soumen Sarkar and Ankit Sabharwal: Social fashion discovery platform Wooplr has received an undisclosed amount of funding from InMobi and TaxiForSure founders. Founded in March 2013, the startup reportedly has two million women users in India, and sees 20,000 transactions a month.

3) KartRocket founded by Saahil Goel: E-Commerce enabler KartRocket has raised $2 million from a Japanese investor. With this, the company has now closed $8 million funding round. Major part of the funding will be mobilized towards enhancing the next-gen mobile marketplace Kraftly, which is a mobile-first O2O marketplace.

4) Indiamart founded by Dinesh Agarwal: This Noida-based B2B listing platform has raised an undisclosed amount in Series C round of funding led by Amadeus Capital Partners, Westbridge Capital, and Accion Frontier Inclusion Fund, in addition to existing investor Intel Capital.

5) StylFlip founded by Zarik Nabi: A portal for pre-owned fashion goods has raised an undisclosed amount in seed round funding from real estate developers Raj Gala Shah and Zaheer Memon. The fund will be used to develop its platform further, and in marketing. StylFlip, is a social platform to sell, shop and flaunt their branded pre-owned fashion apparel, accessories, bags and shoes. The startup offers free shipping on its apps for Android and iOS, and reportedly has around 300 product listings.

6) Supplified founded by Mohit Goel and Nalin Saluja: Supplified, the e-commerce portal has secured $1million in seed funding from the portal’s founder Mohit Goel. Supplified essentially is eying to solve complete procurement problems of retail buyers as well as SME contractors and builders.

7) PinkBlue founded by Valliappan Kumarappan and Varun Singh: Bengaluru-based PinkBlue, a healthcare player operating in the clinical supplies segment has raised Rs. 1.5 crores in its seed round from angel investment platform TermSheet.io. Founded by IIM Kozhikode alumni, PinkBlue is working on streamlining the supply chain ecosystem in healthcare segment, with the longer goal of bringing in analytics and automation inside hospitals. The founders plan to use the funds to ramp up technology development, which will democratize smart supply chain management across all hospitals and clinics.

Consumer Internet:

8) eSwasthya founded by Yash Shah: Ahmedabad-based eSwasthya, which provides healthcare products delivery at patient’s door step has raised an undisclosed amount of seed investment from Hemang Sahani, a member of Lothal Angel Ventures. Currently operating in Ahmedabad, Baroda and Nashik, the startup plans to utilize the capital raised to expand its operations to the rest of Gujarat and to other cities including Mumbai and Pune.

9) JustRide founded by Ashwarya Pratap Singh, Abhishek Mahajan, Hemant Sah, Vasant Verma, and Amit Sahu: This Mumbai-based self-drive car rental service JustRide has raised $400K in a pre-Series A round from a group of angel investors. The startup is working closely with Uber to develop a leasing model for drivers who don’t have the resources to buy a car, and is adding 600 trips to Uber every day in Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru.

10) Yana founded by Rahul Gupta, Ankit Sharma and Aashish Gupta: Mobile personal assistant app Yana has reportedly raised an undisclosed amount of seed round funding from angel investors. Founded in May 2015, the AI-driven app has tie-ups with PepperTap, ZopNow, Ola, Uber, HouseJoy, and other startups, and can be used to compare taxi fares, escape surge pricing, get grocery prices from different vendors, and book home services. The startup currently offers an app for Android, and had less than 5,000 download on Google Play at the time of writing.

11) Nukkad Shops founded by Vivek Shukla, Lipok Imsong and Ravi Korukonda: Hyderabad based hyper-local online firm Nukkad Shops has raised $1 million funding from Purple Talk Inc. The company since its startup in 2015 has been constantly focusing on promoting its business across the city. It helps neighborhood mom-and-pop retail stores take their businesses online. With the help of its app, users can access their neighboring shop that falls within the range of 2 km.

12) Cloudacar founded by Prajwal Zende, Rishabh Sawansukha, Ashutosh Sathe and Mandar Landhe: The startup has raised an undisclosed amount from Amit Choudhary, senior VP, Snapdeal, and Anuj Puri, chairman, JLL India. Sumit Goyal, chief financial officer of Coca-Cola. The money will be utilized for product enhancement. The start-up offers carpooling solution and especially targets the office-going crowd. Users can register themselves using its mobile app or by logging on to Facebook or LinkedIn.

13) Cookaroo founded by Darshan Subhash, Eraj Hassan and Nikhil Karanjkar: Bangalore based food delivery startup has raised angel funding from Vijay Krishna Yadav of Highland hospitalities and Sachindra Murugesh. The funds will be utilized towards technology development and to scale operations across Bangalore and Hyderabad.

14) LoveCycles founded by John Paul: This start-up enables women to keep a track of their menstrual and physiological health via a mobile app. It has raised INR5 crore from seed-stage venture capital firm Prime Venture Partners. The firm will use the money to expand its presence in the country and provide regional language support. With six million downloads and users in over 190 countries, the firm so far has focused mostly on international markets to drive growth.

15) Dunzo founded by Ankur Aggarwal, Dalvir Suri, Mukund Jha and Kabeer Biswas: The Company based out in Bangalore is a chat based daily tasks management app. It has raised about $650K in Pre-Series A round of funding led by Aspada Investment Advisors and Blume Ventures. The app allows users to create to-do lists through the app; collaborate on tasks; and have them get done by Dunzo. The platform leverages both AI (artificial intelligence) and human operators in providing solutions.

16) Vanitycube founded by Renu Bisht and Pragya Upadhyay: Delhi-based on-demand wellness and beauty Services Company has raised $300K in an early stage round from Unicorn Ventures, friends and family. The company will use the funds for developing technology, expanding to four new cities and on brand building initiatives. Currently, it services users in Mumbai and Delhi.

17) Medidaili founded by Akshay Hartalkar and Manish Dashputre: Medical support services platform Medidaili has raised $100K from angel investors. The company will use the funds towards product development, increasing brand presence and tying up with diagnostic centres pan India. Medidaili’s app provides specialized medical support services including diagnostics, healthcare packages and emergency services.

18) NOW founded by Vivek Pandey, Bharat Khandelwal, Sushant Arora and Parteek Singla: Noida based bike taxi and hyper-local delivery app NOW has secured $500K in angel round of funding from Jaipuria Group’s managing director Ruchirans Jaipuria and Supreme Motors’ director Anuj Sanghi. The company will use the money to expand operations across multiple cities and strengthen its technology backbone.

19) Reach founded by Abhay Pruthi, Akshay Pruthi, Ayush Verma and Ashish Kumar: Gurgaon-based Reach has raised $500K in early stage funding led by Japanese VC firm Rebright Partners. The startup was a part of the Google Launchpad program, and has built a peer to peer technology platform that enables users to access music, games and apps that a friend or neighboring person has on his handset. Its app for Android has over 50,000 downloads, and a 4.3 star rating on Google Play.

20) Finomena founded by Riddhi Mittal and Abhishek Garg: Bengaluru-based financial technology start-up Finomena has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from US-based private equity firm Matrix Partners, Kaushal Aggarwal, managing director and co-founder of Avendus, and Harshvardhan Chamria of Magma Fincorp, along with other leading entrepreneurs and angels. The company determines creditworthiness of individuals using a combination of big data and finance.

21) SmartVizX founded by Tithi Tewari and Gautam Tewari: The virtual reality solutions startup has raised over half a million US dollars from the Indian Angel Network (IAN) and Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs India (SA&E India). The company builds ‘Immersive Technology’ solutions using VR for the real estate and other industries, breaking away from the current static and passive content being used by businesses. The funding will be used to expand R&D and to launch a new Bangalore center within the first few months. The funds will also be used to grow the team, including hiring a new R&D head and a Chief Technology Officer.

22) Icertis founded by Samir Bodas and Monish Darda: ERP solutions firm Icertis has raised Rs 100 cr in Series B Funding led by Ignition Partners. Existing investors Greycroft Partners and Fidelity Growth Partners India also participated in this round. Following this, John Connors, managing partner at Ingition Partners will join the Icertis board of directors. Connors is a former CFO and CIO at Microsoft. Samir Bodas, CEO, Icertis, told, “The funds will be deployed towards increasing our physical presence globally, marketing spends and towards further investment in the Icertis Contract Management (ICM) platform to strengthen its leadership position.

Food and Beverage Industry:

23) Big Fish Ventures founded by Umang Tewari: The Delhi based startup which owns and operates premium dining lounges like the Junkyard Cafe, the Vault Cafe, among others has raised about $11.1million in second round of funding from a clutch of angel investors including HNIs and founder Umang Tewari. The startup plans to use the proceeds in expanding their existing brands, developing new concept-based brands and boosting up technology in terms of presence on the mobile and online space.

24) Jolly Food Fellow founded by Rajiv Sharma and Niraj Harlalka: Ahmedabad-based Jolly Food Fellow, a startup which assists food & beverage entrepreneurs with customer analytics, has raised $302,600 in angel funding from a new startup incubator, The 1947. The company will use the money to expand its footprint in metro cities such as Mumbai and Bangalore over the next three months.

Real Estate Industry:

25) Mygubbi founded by Umesh Sangurmath and Ravi Rao: com, a fast growing online home interior decor and furnishing company, today announced that it has raised $2.5 million in seed funding from multiple angel investors led by Vipul Parekh, co-founder of Big Basket, Ananda Kallugadde, co-Founder of NeoBytes and Rajesh K Murthy, EVP of Infosys. MyGubbi has been offering home interior decor and furnishing solutions in Bengaluru since September 2015 and has over 50 successful home completions in a short time span.

Logistics Industry:

26) Trucking Cube founded by Agrawal groups: Agrawal Movers Group, a packing and moving company, has invested $14.9 million in Delhi based Trucking Cube, a logistics provider which offers metal containers according to volume to transport consignments. The investment will help Agarwal Movers to reduce losses because of goods that gets damaged in-transit. The investment will be made over the next 3 years and Trucking Cube plans to grow its cubes to 8,000 from the current 2,000 cubes.
