1- NDTV’s Ethnic Ecommerce Venture IndianRoots clutches $5 million in Series B round of funding led by KJS Group. The company mainly deals in selling Indian ethnic wear and accessories like jewelry, bags, and others along with home furnishing, stationery products and handicraft products. The company aims to invest the fund in scaling up the portal’s logistics and delivery mechanisms, and expanding its marketing activity.

2- Property Station, a Gurgaon based resale real estate consulting company has received angel funding of INR 60lacs led by a boutique financial service company, Care2Earnservices Pvt Ltd. The company will utilize the fund in increasing the team size and enhance the working platform.

3- Bengaluru based Venturesity, a startup that creates challenges specific to a job description provided by the company, has raised its first round of funding of $250K from investors including Phanindra Sama, co-founder of RedBus, Jay Sethuram, Hemant Kanakia, founder and CEO of Torrent Networking Technology and Ravi Trivedi, founder of angel fund and incubator Srijan Capital.

4- Mumbai based online fashion curator, RedPolka has raised an Angel round of funding of $250K from a group of 5 investors. The company is interested in investing the fund in building the mobile app and expanding the team.

5- Noida based Intelligent Data Analytics firm Innovaccer has received undisclosed amount of seed funding from Google’s Rajan Anandan, Phanindra Sama, Co-founder of RedBus and others including Teru Sato, Aneesh Reddy and Venkatesh Valluri. Innovaccer, which has offices in Noida and Palo Alto, did not disclose the exact amount it raised, only saying the investment was in the late single-digit rupee crores.

6- MyCuteOffice is an online office rental searching portal where one can get shared office on rent at the lowest possible cost. It is a Mumbai based firm and has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Lead Angels. “The capital raised will be mostly invested into process building and experimentation in terms of market capturing exercises,” said Abhishek Barari, co-founder and CEO, MyCuteOffice.

7- Bangalore based Cloud data Integration platform, ZapStitch has raised $2 million in pre Series A funding from Helion and existing investor Orios Venture Partners. ZapStitch enables small businesses automate their data flow across cloud business solutions. The company is thinking to expand its products and services and is also in the mood to set up a sales team in US to strengthen their business there.

8- Wassup, an on-demand laundry service provider has raised $2 million pre-series A funding from the founder of Jabong, Pravin Sinha and Arun Chandra Mohan. The company founded in 2011is headquartered in Chennai and offers services like laundry, dry cleaning, shoes- and bag-refurbishments.

9- Plancess EduSolutions, a Mumbai based online educational platform received $2 million of seed funding from Aarti Group’s Promoters Gogri Family. The company was founded by IITians and is India’s first company providing video lectures delivered by top 100 rankers of IIT JEE. The company also provides fresh IIT JEE study Material, IIT JEE Online Test Series and IIT JEE Video Lectures. The company will utilize the funds in getting to international exposure and increasing their resource and product base.

10- Gul panag, the actor cum politician has now faced towards tech world and has launched a Goa based mobile app, Mobiefit which raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from the star up incubator Prototyze.

11- Mumbai based out firm WorkHorse is the leading platform for connecting individuals looking for household services with top-quality, pre-screened independent service professionals. It has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from undisclosed investors.
