Google is going to target small businesses for its Indoor Maps technology, which was introduced by it in India last month. The company has decided to take this initiative to help small businesses in India get to the next level.
Those small businesses that are unable to get customers as are located in crowded commercial spaces with lack of parking, will be greatly benefitted by this.
Suren Ruhela, Director and Product Manager, India Google Maps has been quoted as saying, “Small businesses have to move beyond just setting up their websites and hoping that shoppers walk in, which is passé.”
The Indoor Google Maps introduced in India last month will be available on Android as well as iOS platform under Maps app section.

Google has implemented this technology in USA too and has helped small businesses gain customers.
