Reliance launched e-commerce portal: Reliance Retail has started its online shopping portal. The company’s retail portal, named Ajio.com, was launched at the Lakme Fashion Week. The fashion show was attended by Isha Ambani, daughter of billionaire Mukesh Ambani in an indication that the next generation is involved in the new-age businesses of the group.

Whatsapp end to end encryption for all messages: Whatsapp full encryption: The company announced this week that all chats on its service would be end-to-end encrypted, meaning that it wouldn’t be possible for the company or others to read what is contained within them. The change means that only the sender and recipient are able to unscramble the encrypted messages and read their contents.

PM Modi booked Ola e-rickshaw through Stand-up India event: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on last Tuesday booked the first Ola e-rickshaw ride, as part of the ‘Stand-Up India’ initiative, which the government took on to to promote entrepreneurship. The transport aggregator launched the ‘e-rickshaw’ category on its app in Delhi-NCR.

Android auto comes to India and 17 more countries: Google’s Android has it rolled out in-car operating system Android Auto in 18 new countries including India. Brazil, Russia, Chile, Switzerland, Columbia, Paraguay, Venezuela, among others are on the list too. Google’s Android Auto competes with Apple’s in-car system CarPlay. Both CarPlay and Android Auto allow voice commands to be turned on with a touch of a steering wheel button.

Watch DD channels on smart phone without internet: India’s Public service broadcaster, Doordarshan, has launched a new service where viewers can watch any DD channel on their smartphone without internet. The viewer interested in DD services will have to incur the charges of buying a dongle and no additional charges for internet would be required.
