Google’s expanded text ads, introduced earlier in July. These expanded text ads are 50% larger than standard text ads. Initially, there was a deadline of October 26 where standard text ads could no longer be used. Google is extending the deadline to January 31, 2017, to make sure everyone has time to learn the ins and outs.

Paytm, India’s largest mobile payment and commerce platform, has partnered with IRCTC to provide seamless booking of train tickets vial its app and website. The Paytm wallet was already available as a payment option for IRCTC, and the integration of Paytm’s payment gateway was something that would not visibly affect most users. However, it now appears that there was more to the deal with IRCTC.

FUNDING

The report records down all the Indian startups that got funding this week. E-commerce startup Nykaa ($12 million) and consumer internet startup KarmaCircles ($3 million) topped the funding round and many more startups raised funding this week.
