Google has announced updates to help job seekers to find lucrative employment directly through its job search tool.

People searching for jobs across the U.S. using Google Search will now get estimated salary information right along with the job posting in which they are interested.

This new feature, which is set in the company’s core search service, offers estimated salaries for specific job postings based on information like job titles, locations, and company information.

The plan came to execution a month later as Google revealed tie-ups with Monster, Facebook, Glassdoor, and others to let job seekers find work and receive email alerts when new opportunities arise.

Nick Zakrasek, product manager at Google said “Salary information has been one of the most requested additions from job seekers,” Zakrasek said in a post on Google’s Webmaster Central blog Nov. 15. Posting information about the salary an applicant can expect for a particular job makes it easier for them to evaluate whether the job is a fit.

The updated search also allows you to narrow the available jobs to within a specific distance.

There is a ‘Location’ filter for job searches that will filter search results by the distance such as 2 miles, 20 miles, 200 miles, etc.
