YouTube is ready to entertain its users with another outstanding feature, YouTube Stories, similar to Instagram.

YouTube has been testing it since last year.

Users with more than 10,000 subscribers can publish stories on the mobile app and subscribers and non-subscribers, both can view these stories.

Stories will itself show in the “Up Next” sidebar when anyone watches a video from a creator that has recently been published.

They will also show in a carousel appearing at the top of the home screens of the subscriber.

Like Instagram and Snapchat, YouTube to provides creation tools for stories.

Users should know the difference between YouTube and other social media stories before they publish.

What is the difference between YouTube and Other Social Media Stories?

Here are some main differences-

Stories stay up for 7 consecutive days

YouTube Stories remains available for 7 days, whereas other social media stories remain only for 24 hours.

Whole Community can See User’s Responses

A user response to a story will be available to the whole community to see.

Responses to other social media stories remain private as they are sent by messages.

The response of a user to a YouTube’s story is added as a comment, which other users can upvote or downvote.

Strangely, the reply of the creator can only come with a photo or video, which will then, shared as another story.

You can see YouTube stories in the video shown below:
