CaRPM founded by Abhishek Maitreyi, Ankit Yadav, Lovish Choudhary and JeevanRathod: Launched in 2015 by the trios from IIT Guwahati, CaRPM is a mobile app which helps in analyzing the driving pattern, engine health, fuel expenses besides a host of other features. The company has raised $100K from Gurgaon-based Green House Ventures Accelerator, launched by Vikram Upadhyaya, a serial entrepreneur and member of Indian Angel Network.

2. Splitkart founded by Monojeet Sinha and Sharique Khan: A mobile app that allows users to split bills and plan group outings, has secured an undisclosed amount in seed funding from GSF India founder Rajesh Sawhney and People Group CEO Anupam Mittal besides other angel investors. The funds will be used for product development and scaling up operations. Splitkart is looking to scale up operations via direct partnerships in Delhi-NCR region before expanding into other metros.

3. Zenatix founded by Rahul Bhalla, Vishal Bansal, and Amarjeet Singh:Gurgaon-based energy monitoring analytics startup Zenatix has reportedly raised an undisclosed sum of funding in its pre-series A round from Blume Ventures. Founded in 2013, the company uses smart meters and controllers to help consumers understand their energy consumption patterns, and take steps to save energy.

4. Custom Furnish founded by MadhukarGangadi: The Company based out in Hyderabad is an online e-commerce startup that retails furniture and home furnishing and it has raised around $4.5 million in a fresh round of funding from Agnus Capital. Launched in early 2015, CustomFurnish.com currently offers its services in Hyderabad, and Bengaluru and reportedly plans to expand its presence to the other four metros.

5. Faasos founded by Kallol Banerjee and Jaydeep Barman: The online food on-demand startup Faasos has raised $30 million in series C round of funding led by ru-Net, with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital and Lightbox Ventures. Founded in 2011, Faasos currently has 160 distribution centres and is present in 15 cities across India.

6. Vlurn founded by MithilPawar: A platform for online courses has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from VidyadharSarfare, MD & CEO of Accord Group. The company will use the raised fund to hire new talents, boost technical team, develop its mobile app, and create studio infrastructure. Vlurn currently has about 2,000 registered users who have undertaken more than 5000 hours of training in various courses.

7. Leaf Wearables founded by Avinash Bansal, Ayush Banka, Chiraag Kapil, Manik Mehta and Paras Batra: The Company is a maker of wearable security and tracking device Safer, and has raised $250K in seed funding. Founded by students from IIT-Delhi and Delhi Technological University, its women’s safety device Safer can be used to trigger an alarm and send messages to pre-selected phone numbers in case of emergency.

8. CoolShare founded by Randeep Singh, Youmit Singh and Navneet Singh:CoolSharebased out in Mumbai is a cab sharing service operated by Zoomot Services. It has secured about $100K in seed round of funding from angel investor Gopal Aggarwal. The company is also planning to raise Series A round for further expansion. Founded in 2015 by IITians, CoolShare offers cab sharing service through its mobile application available for Android users.

9. mFicient Technologies founded by Surathkal alumni, Gyan Tiwari and SantanuBiswas:The startup, has raised an undisclosed amount in an angel round led by Delhivery founders and other Delhi and Mumbai-based angel investors. The funding will be used to expand its footprint into the domestic market and building its sales team. Founded in 2013 by students of NITK, mFicient Technologies offers cloud based enterprise mobility Platform-as-a-Service (mPaaS) that helps enterprises build their own internal mobile applications across multiple OS within hours.

10. HeyBiz founded by BharteshChhibbar:Delhi-based HeyBiz, which provides apps for on Google Play and App Store to connect and chat with nearby businesses, has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from ShopClues. The startup plans to use the funding to improve its product and expanding its market base to other cities.

11. Yumist founded by Alok Jain and Abhimanyu Maheshwari:Gurgaon-based meal delivery service Yumist has reportedly raised raised $2 million in a fresh round of funding led by Ronnie Screwvala’s fund UnilazerVentures, with participation from existing investor Orios Venture Partners. The company plans to scale up its operations in Gurgaon, Delhi and Bengaluru, and plans to launch its service in Mumbai and Pune.

12. Jigsaw founded by Gaurav Vohra and SaritaDigumarti:Bengaluru-based startup is an online academy for analytics and has received funding of $3 million from Manipal Global Education Services. Founded in 2010, Jigsaw Academy provides analytics and big data skills to students and professionals, and has trained over 40,000 students from over 30 countries in the last five years.

13. Joe Hukum founded by Ajeet, Arihant and Rahul:Chat based personal assistant app Joe Hukumhas grabbed its seed funding from TracxnLabs, Jitendra Gupta, and other angels. Operational since July 2015, the Delhi-based startup has apps for Android and iOS that offer assistance with shopping, pick and drop, food, repairs, movie, and event tickets, travel, restaurant reservations, taxi, flowers, cakes, recharge, bill payments, groceries, and more.

14. VoxWeb founded by Yash Mishra:The Company based out in Mumbai has received a pre-series funding of $350K from an anonymous investor. This is VoxWeb’s second fund raising, following a seed level funding round in August 2015. The startup offers apps for Android and iPhone, and currently has in between 10,000 – 50,000 downloads on Google Play Store.

15. Aye Finance founded by Sanjay Sharma and Vikram Jetley:Small business lender Aye Finance has received $3 million in funding from Accion, a pioneer in financial inclusion, and venture capital firm SAIF Partners. These new investments will help the financial services startup provide India’s micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) with expanded access to financing.

BlackBuck founded by Rajesh Yabaji: A business to business logistics startup, Blackbuck has raised a Series B funding of $25 million from Tiger Global, Apoletto (DST-Yuri Milner’s Founders Fund), Accel and Flipkart. The company had earlier received a $5 million funding from Accel Partners and Flipkart. The company has plans to utilize the funds to ramp up expansion, build products and set up the team. The company has a team of 200 people and has presence in 40 locations across the country and has plans to expand its footprint to 200 locations through the next year.

17. Homestudio.com founded by Alok Duggal:An online startup offering branded home solutions in the furniture and kitchen category to customers, has received $5 million in seed funding from Bren Corporation. The Company will utilize the fund to strengthen the technology platform and its customer service experience. Founded in November 2015, the Bengaluru-headquartered company currently has 50 employees and plans to expand to all major cities in the next 12-18 months.Homestudio.com is an end-to-end furniture solution provider, from designs to execution to customer service.

18. Paynear founded by Anil Bharadwaj, Maulik Shah and Priti Shah:Hyderabad-based mPOS solutions provider Paynear has raised $2.5 million in Pre-Series Around of funding from MiteshMajithia. Founded in 2013, the startup reportedly expects to ramp up its merchant base from around 5-10 thousand to one lakh in a year.

19. Chillr founded by Sony Joy: The Mumbai based company has raised $7 million in a Series A round of funding from Sequoia Capital, Blume Ventures, Uniqorn Ventures and other investors. Chillr is peer-to-peer money transfer and recharge app.

20. eureQa founded by BadriNittoor and Bhargava Chittamuri:Hyderabad-based eureQa, a test automation SaaS startup, has raised a seed round of $600K in funding from SashiReddi and Gabriel Investments, a Philadelphia-based venture fund. As a part of the funding, SashiReddi, managing partner at SRI Capital, will join eureQa’s board. Founded in 2012, the company aims to provide an easy to use test automation platform that meets the demands of enterprise application developers working on mobile, social, and cloud based applications.

21. LocalCircles founded by Sachin Taparia and Mukesh Gupta: The startup has raised funds from Anand Mahindra, the chairman of Mahindra Group. In the deal, Anand Mahindra is going to join the advisory board of LocalCircles. The startup is a citizen engagement platform launched in 2013. The startup will use this fund to expand its reach to more than 30 million people in the next five years. LocalCircles allows citizens to connect with some causes they care about.LocalCircles currently has communities in 200 Indian cities, but it is planning to expand its services to many more citizens and causes in India. Currently, it has also launched its Android and iOS app.

22. GetFocus founded by Prateek Chaturvedi, Manoj Gudi and Aditya Misra:Mumbai based startup, GetFocus has secured unspecified amount in angel funding from group of investors, who are from different sectors like banking, telecom and logistic. The startup was founded by a team of IIT Bombay graduates. With this fund, startup is looking to hire more telents for its tech team and expanding its operations in different geographical areas. The company wants to reach more than 15 million phones in next 6 months.

23. UrbanClap founded by Raghav Chandra, AbhirajBhal and Varun Khaitan:Local services marketplace UrbanClap has received an undisclosed amount of funding from Tata Sons chairman emeritus Ratan Tata. The investment comes after it raised $25M in Series B from SAIF, Accel and Bessemer partners in November 2015.

24. Online RTI founded by VinothRanganathanand VinothRanganathan:Bengaluru-based startup is an online platform that lets anyone file an RTI application for Rs. 200. It has raised $150K in an angel round of funding from LetsVenture, Mohandas Pai, and existing investors.Founded in 2014, the startup handles government fees demand drafts, court fee stamps and paperwork, with applications sent via registered or Speed Post.

25. PowerStoresfounded by Cory York and IndrajitChowdhury:Goa based startup has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Extreme Venture Partners and William Bissell. Besides, the company has also rebranded itself as Webware.io, reflecting the company’s ability to serve more than just the ecommerce market with a shopping cart solution.

26. Weddingz founded by Sandeep Lodha:Mumbai-based Weddingz.in, an online marketplace for wedding venues and vendors, has raised over $1 million in angel funding from a group of investors, including Google India’s managing director Rajan Anandan. And other investors. The money will be used for automation, marketing, expanding operations to more cities, and expanding the user base. Weddingz.in, which launched its first operations in Mumbai, now has a presence in 10 cities, including Delhi, Bangalore, and Goa. Intelligent Interfaces founded by Rahul Yadav:Flipkart cofounders Sachin and Binny Bansal have invested an undisclosed seed funding in online realty portal Housing’s former CEO Rahul Yadav’s new startup Intelligent Interfaces. The startup aims to bring efficiencies in the processes of the Indian government. “I see very large businesses that can be created in partnerships with government,” Yadav said. Giving an example Yadav said one simple online rental agreement can save the government Rs 2,000-3,000 crore.
