Facebook to bring a premium ad program named ‘Showcase‘ that would allow advertisers to target the topmost quality videos.

Ads rolled through Showcase will be seen in Facebook Watch, which includes top tier of genuine and publisher content on the platform.

The ads of showcase can also come up within particular video content in the Facebook pages and the newsfeed.

On average, Facebook says approx 100 million US people watch Showcase eligible content every month.

Showcase is now available for campaigns targeting US audiences and includes the following products:
  • In-Stream Reserve– In-stream ads can come up either mid-roll or pre-roll. The placements are rolled in advance at a flat cost and delivered to Nielsen verified in-target audiences.
  • In-Stream Reserve Categories– Comprises all the features that In-Stream Reserve has, and allows advertisers to find people who are within contextually relevant content. Categories are like fashion/beauty, entertainment, food, news, and sports.
  • Sponsorships– Enable marketers to become the exclusive sponsor of a program for the US audience, allowing marketers to place their ads in particular shows.

Facebook underlines that Showcase can help marketers reach millennial audiences which are difficult to reach on traditional TV.

“Showcase can help advertisers reach younger-skewing audiences that are increasingly difficult to reach on TV. Over the past three months, 43% of people in the US who watched In-Stream Reserve-eligible content on Facebook were 18-34 years old, compared to 28% of TV viewers.”

The price of ads is fixed and assured to be displayed to a specific audience.
