Google Allows to Include Third Headline in Text Ads

By allowing adding an additional headline and description to text ads, Google is enabling advertisers to insert up to three headlines and two descriptions in text ads.

The number of characters for descriptions has also been increased to 90 characters.

Now, the text ads and responsive search ads will have the same number of characters.

Google’s suggestion for using the third headline-

To get started, try adding a third headline and the second description to your existing text ads. For example, if you’re a retailer using two headlines that show your brand name and official site, you can add a third headline showing shipping details or special offers.

The update to text ads will roll out for advertisers in late August.

The same announcement also included that the responsive search ads going to roll out to more marketers from September 2018.

The responsive ads will be available in different languages English, French, German, Spanish, and others to advertisers.

Marketers can add up to 15 headlines and 4 description lines in the ad.

Google will test different combinations of descriptions and headlines to find the best one for search queries.
