Google has introduced a new format for YouTube TrueView video ads called TrueView for action. With this newly added feature, advertisers can display a call-to-action banner at the base of the video during and at the end of the video.

TrueView is the format that makes ads skippable, while for advertisers it means that they only pay when an ad gets viewed in its entirety or drives a download or purchase.

The branded banner can be tailored to a specific action goal such as “Book now,” “Get a quote,” or “Learn more” like the Mazda example from Google.

TrueView for Action can help you move your customers along the path to purchase by encouraging actions like scheduling an appointment or requesting more information.

Google says this option could be particularly useful for advertisers in “high consideration” industries, like those in financial services, automotive, or travel. It’s going to be testing this format for the rest of 2016.
