Google releases a new video app, Uptime which let users watch and react to YouTube videos together with friends.

Uptime is an app which enables you to share the viewing experience in real time. It also let your friends know that where you are in the video and provides the ability to send reaction, emojis and comments.

While you watch the video, the profile icons keep rotating around the edge of the screen to denote where you are currently in the video. If your friends are watching the videos at the same time, then you will also see their profile icons.

Uptime is particularly designed for public sharing. The idea behind it is to bring something new for the users in their video experience. In this app, users will be able to follow each other, see the watch history, share YouTube clips with one another, react and comment on videos. You can also tap on the screen and leave sparkles on the video; these sparkles will only be visible to those friends who are watching the same video in real time.

The application is currently available for iPhone users only in invite-only mode and to gain access you have to use the code “PIZZA”.
