In an announcement, LinkedIn states-

“… we’re excited to announce interest targeting in Campaign Manager. Interest targeting lets you reach members with relevant ads that match their professional interests — based on the content they share and engage with on LinkedIn. With these added options, you can more easily achieve your campaign objectives and grow your business.”

Marketers can target their campaigns considering more than 200 professional interests, like AI, global economy, customer experience, and more.

LinkedIn renders following advantages of Interest Targeting-

  • More appropriate ads- Model your brand awareness by integrating your brand and the topics find interesting to your audience.
  • Target particular accounts + interests- You can target particular accounts using account targeting and interest targeting features showing interest in content relevant to your business.
  • Target people by degrees + interests- You can also target audience by combining degrees and interest features.

The company has been testing the feature of Interest Targeting over the past few months with a 25% increase in CTR result.

LinkedIn will avail Interest targeting to all advertisers over the next few weeks.
