Yesterday Ola officially announced the launch of the Ola Store. The app can be downloaded here. Consumers can use code ‘STORE20′ and get 20% OFF on their first order.

Currently the App store link (won’t work if you haven’t been invited for testing) is provided to few customers only and it is available with invite for beta testing. The testers get a flat 50% discount on their first order.

Available only in Bengaluru at present, Ola Store claims to deliver over 12,000 products across 13 categories, and has tie ups with big stores such as Family Mall, Grocery Mart, and Namdhari’s Fresh.
Apart from the general needs like vegetables, fruits, dairy products, frozen foods, grocery and staples etc., interesting additions are sexual wellness, electrical products and health supplements and medicines.

Delivery is free over and above order value of Rs 300 and a value of Rs 50 delivery charge is applicable for orders below Rs 300. The catalog of products available looks extensive.

E-commerce giants like Flipkart has already launched the grocery store. Amazon has an express delivery platform – ‘Kirana Now’ in partnership with local retailers. Snapdeal has tied up with gourmet food retailer Godrej Nature’s Basket. And now Ola has entered in this fight.
