Twitter is commencement to roll out a new application that lets anyone to use for a verified account.
Verified accounts on Twitter are designated with a blue badge icon, ensuring that the account is authentic. The company has started giving anyone access to the blue tick by merely allowing them to fill an online form.
The social media platform usually provides verified status to celebrities, public figures, creators, and influencers.
To apply, your account should have the following details:
A verified phone number, a confirmed email address, a bio, a profile photo, a header photo, a birthday (for accounts that are not a company, brand, or organization accounts), a website and tweets set as public underneath Tweet privacy settings.
The badge seems next to the name on an account’s profile and next to the account name in search results. It is always the same color and placed within the same location, no matter profile or theme color customizations.
“We want to make it even easier for people to find creators and influencers on Twitter so it makes sense for us to let people apply for verification,” said Tina Bhatnagar, Twitter’s vice president of user services.
Verified accounts will facilitate boost the subsequent of these users and let followers make certain they are reading authentic comments.
