Google will retire ‘classic’ Google+ on January 24 and will introduce its all new version with important updates.

The most requested updates from the Google+ community will be added in the new version. Google shared in a post, ‘With this latest round of updates, we believe the new Google+ is really your Google+— designed around your suggestions, requests and needs. It also means it’s time to say goodbye to classic Google+ on the web, which we’ll be turning down on January 24.’

The updates which are expected to be added later this month are as follows:

Will Bury Low-Quality Comments

In the renewed version, low-quality comments will be automatically hidden. Company has not exactly defined the criteria on which it will consider the comment as low–quality. But any comment which is not relatable to the conversation will be hidden.

Here’s the screenshot in which low-quality comments are hidden:

Events will be Back with New Google+

Google will be bringing back Events, which gives you the ability to create and join events on the web version. The user experience of Events will be enhanced, so you can expect to see refined and improved changes in the new version launching on January 24, 2017.

There will be More Room for Content and Less Wasted Space

The company admits that they will put more focus on content and will make the optimal use of your screen. So, now you will see more posts and less white space. You will also be able to zoom in the images while using web version and images will shine in the renewed Google+.
