Google Piloting My Business Chat with Customers

A new feature in the Google My Business Area is being tested by the Google. With this feature, customers can initiate a chat with various businesses from the local listing tab present in Google search.

It is said that the typical response time in which the businesses will reply back to your text message is 5 minutes.

It has not been rolled out yet as it is in the trial period. It is a piloting feature available for just selected group of business owners. If it wishes to make you participate in the test then it will notify you over the email that whether you are eligible or not.

How to set up Google My Business Account?

Once you receive a mail in your inbox, then you just have to click on the link.  And once you click through then a step by step guide will appear on your screen so that you can do real-time messaging with your customers by setting up Google My Business Account.

In order to be voluntarily accessible for responding back, make sure that you also provide a phone number, so that you can receive texts on it. ‘Allo’ app by Google can also be used to stay readily in touch with customers.
