The January month of the New Year 2018 was loaded with many changes and announcements from the digital marketing world. How about we see some of the foremost digital Marketing updates from Jan, 2018; let’s move ahead:
Jan8, 2018, Google announced rolling out its new Search Console to website owners globally.
The Google Search Console, formerly known as Webmaster Tools, is a place where those in charge of maintaining websites can analyze their site’s indexing on Google Search, view analytics, peruse inbound links, submit and remove content for crawling, monitor malware, and more.
The search engine giant said that the feature is still in beta and will live side by side with the old version. Users can toggle between them in the navigation menu.
As it was the most consistently requested new feature, site owners must be feeling happy to know the public beta has the same 16 months of data that was available in the private beta.
In addition to more data within the Search Performance report (previously Search Analytics report), the new Search Console has been completely rebuilt. It has been designed with a renewed focus on helping site owners identify and fix and pending issues.Read More

Starting Jan 16, 2018, YouTube announced making changes to the eligibility requirement for monetization to 4,000 hours of watch time within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers. YouTube said that it has arrived at these new thresholds after thorough analysis and conversations with creators. And, the update will allow improving its ability to identify creators who contribute positively to the community and helping drive more ad revenue to them (and away from bad actors). These higher standards will also help us prevent potentially inappropriate videos from monetizing which can hurt revenue for everyone.
Previously, the standard for joining YouTube’s Partner Program was 10,000 public views — without any specific requirement for annual viewing hours. This change will no doubt make it harder for new, smaller channels to reach monetization, but YouTube says it’s an important way of buying itself more time to see who’s following the company’s guidelines and disqualify “bad actors.”Read More
