Twitter has come up with a new insights tool to determine the best day and time for publishing tweets on the basis of user engagement.
Twitter took months to build its ‘Timing Is Everything’ tool and is a part of greater effort to offer users with more ready-to-use data.
The tool narrowly focuses on video tweets in particular. It shows historical data displaying when users are on the platform and engaging with video.

‘Timing Is Everything’ doesn’t show followers of a user watching videos.
Once you know the most appropriate times to publish content, schedule it directly from the insights page.
With this statement, Twitter still suggests users publish content throughout the day whatever the data says.
“We encourage publishers to continue to post throughout the day in order to maximize reach; however, consider including posting during the most engaging times of the day and week as part of that strategy.”
How to access the Time is everything tool
- Click the Analytics dropdown list which is available in Media Studio and choose Insights.
- See the graph to determine when users are online and engaging with content.
- Schedule your tweet at the times of when user engagement is highest.
