On May 1st, 2019 Google Ads is going to expand parallel tracking to Display and Video campaigns.

According to Google, with this expansion advertisers will get more time to get ready before parallel tracking gets mandatory for types of campaigns like display and video on July 31st.

The dates for parallel tracking for display and video campaigns are as below-
  • Available on May 1st, 2019
  • Mandatory on July 31st, 2019

Parallel tracking increases Google ads by driving users instantly to the landing page soon after clicking an ad.

Click measurement requests go in the background, which enables browsers to load landing page faster.

As such speed of website loading helps to enhance the user experience, Google is going to make parallel tracking mandatory.

Google suggests advertisers to reach their click measurement provider immediately if there is a need to make changes in ad URL.

Google will review the ads if URL changes are made.

So, if you run different display and video campaigns through numerous accounts, Google suggests spacing out changes regularly.
