Facebook Messenger now lets you add more people to your voice and video call without hanging up first.
The new feature is available with the latest Android and iOS Messenger update.
If you’re on a call with a friend and need another friend in your circle, Facebook Messenger will let you promptly send them an invite to join the call.
Previously, users who wanted to turn a one-on-one call into a group call needed to end the call, then go through the process of starting another call. In Messenger, this meant they needed to create a new group chat first or look in their inbox for an existing chat to launch the call from.
The new feature saves time by showing users to add people while you’re on a video or audio call, tap on the screen and select the new “add person” icon, then tap on the individual you want to add.
Group video call on Messenger lets you see up to 6 people at a time, but up to 50 people can join a call. Once above six people are on a call, the main person chatting is shown on-screen to every person.
